Abstract: The article provides the methodological approach to the assessment of country’s investment potential. The constructed in the frame of this approach integrated model consists of three levels of hierarchy and based on usage of artificial neural networks (Kohonen self-organizing maps) and tools of fuzzy logic theory. It’s substantiated the forming of set of indicators that characterize the country’s investment potential, and analyzed the relationship between them by identifying correla-tions. The cluster of countries similar to Ukraine in terms of invest-ment potential has been defined in result of carried out analysis of current state of the world’s countries. There is defined the set of input parameters-representants of their indicators’ groups on the basis of which built the economic and mathematical model for estimating the country’s investment potential using fuzzy logic tools. The term sets of each input and output variables was formed, and also determined the type and parameters of membership functions, constructed the base of decision-making rules. The optimization of the fuzzy model param-eters was carried out on the basis of the performance of countries which form one cluster together with the studied country in the issue of self-organization at the Kohonen map. As a result was obtained the linguistic description of the investment potential of Ukraine and its quantitative estimate for the next year. The performed experimental research has confirmed the adequacy of constructed models and their effectiveness for support the management decision-making for the re-cipient country (to increase the investment attractiveness), as well as for potential investors (in order to find the most attractive and risk-less markets).
